RT Academy in India: Lectures, Master Classes and Documentary Screenings
RT Academy’s week-long trip to India has concluded, wrapping up an intensive program of meetings with the next generation of journalists.
The Academy team visited several of the country’s leading universities - Bennett University, UPES University, Amity University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Over the course of the tour, they delivered around ten lectures and master classes on international journalism, content creation, and story production. Students attended documentary screenings, analysed case studies of news presentation in different countries, and actively engaged with speakers during Q&A sessions.
At each university, discussions were held on opportunities for future collaboration, including potential courses, webinars, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Bennett University, which described the event as a 'global milestone' for its journalism department.
This was not RT Academy’s first visit to India: in-person lectures for young journalists were previously held in February 2025, and in the autumn, students from Indian universities took part in the online course International Journalism.
